The comedy movement in Corea continues into 2010. Stand Up Seoul's first show of the new year promises to be a fun night out.

Returning to the Stand Up Seoul stage is Korea's favorite Scotsman, Ross Gardiner. Ross is making his " Korean comeback " after a brief stint in the UK. Also, we have guest comedian, Aidan Killian, visiting us from Dublin, Ireland.

This packed room @ Rocky Mountain Tavern ( Itaewon ) continues to be the favorite venue for Seoul's comedy crew of performers. Thanks to everybody for supporting Stand Up Seoul in 2009. 2010 promises to be bigger and better, with 30% less trans fat.

ALL COMEDY ACTS ARE WELCOMED !! If you are filled with the funny, Stand Up Seoul.

Rice. Kimchi. Laugh.

Poets, writers, novelists and comedians!

An opportunity to perform at an Open Mic dedicated to Spoken Word. No waiting for bands to finish up playing. No playing to rowdy audiences who are more interested in the booze and the music than the art. Wednesday nights at Tony's is an open mic event dedicated to Spoken word, put on by artists, for artists. Come and enjoy a warm, supportive atmosphere, great western food and amazingly large glasses of house wine ($5) Also Kilkenny and Guinness on tap, with a whole host of other Aussie beers.

Hope to see you soon,

Kat

S.U.C.K. will be rehearsing their stuff at The Orange Tree Open Mic, in preparation for the HAEBANGCHON MUSIC AND COMEDY FEST, Saturday, 30 May 09.

ALSO, we're prepping for a S.U.C.K. show in Busan. We're still fleshing out the details! Please be patient.

In the meeting, we'll do the usual meet and greet @ The Orange Tree, & talk about comedy over food and drinks. Then we'll perform at the The Orange Tree Open Mic.

If you're new, and haven't written a thing, feel free to meet us and just sit in the audience. See ya later.

DIRECTIONS TO THE ORANGE TREE->

Noksapyeong Station (line 6, next to Itaewon), go out exit 2, walk down the hill, at the bottom of the hill there will be lots of kimchi pots on your left, keep left, you will get to a little area with bars and restaurants and there is a bar Phillies on the left, and a bar/restaurant Indigo on your right. Go to the second floor of Indigo -- that is Orange Tree. The total walk time from the subway is about 10 mins.

Three fellow SUCKers left Korea last month. Now it's your obligation to find replacements to replenish the ranks. If you know anyone itching to get on stage, drag 'em along.

We need to prep for the next Stand-Up Seoul show, Thursday, May 7, at the Rocky Mountain Tavern in Itaewon, Seoul. ALSO, we're prepping for a SUCK show in Daegu on the 25th of April. WE'RE TOURING NOW, BABY! It's crazy--five nights out of the week, there's an open mic, so there's enough time to prepare.

In the meeting, we'll do the usual meet and greet at Hello Beans and talk about comedy over food and drinks. Then we'll head over to a nearby noraebang and rehearse our stand-up material in front of each other. Then off to Woodstock Open mic to perform.

If you're new, and haven't written a thing, feel free to meet us and just sit in the audience. And if you can't make it exactly 7 pm, just give us a call and we'll direct you to where the group is at the moment, either at the noreabang or performing at Woodstock. See ya later.
